However, when it came to their dashboards and monitors, they noticed they had a tendency to define but not refine. In this talk, Carmel Hinks will share how Atlassian applied Agile approaches to solve various challenges surrounding the definition and maintenance of some of their operational tooling. About Carmel Hinks<\/h5>\n

She received her B.Sc degree in software engineering from Curtin University, where she also spent several years teaching students about application and database design. Since realising her passion for systems architecture, Carmel has specialised in the development and maintenance of highly critical platform services.<\/span>

Jez Humble is an author, speaker, CTO at DevOps Research and Assessment LLC, and a lecturer at UC Berkeley.<\/span><\/p>

He is the co-author of <\/span>Continuous Delivery<\/span><\/i>, the Jolt Award-winning book in Martin Fowler's signature series, as well as the books <\/span>Lean Enterprise<\/span><\/i> and <\/span>The DevOps Handbook<\/span><\/i>. Jez has spent his career tinkering with code, infrastructure, and product development and consulting in companies of varying sizes across three continents, most recently working for the US Federal Government at 18F.
