Creating a culture of autonomy<\/h4>\n

Industries are increasingly experimenting with self-managed approaches, but they’re missing the most important point: the notion that it all starts with having the right mindset. <\/p>\n

Drawing on practical experiences, including her leadership role in teal organisation Buurtzorg, Sharda Nandram will define and explore the value of an integrative intelligent mindset. Further, she’ll demonstrate how you can adopt this mindset within your organisation to create a culture where trust, autonomy and self-management come naturally.

About Sharda Nandram<\/span><\/p>\n

Sharda S. Nandram is a Co-founder of Praan Group, an international consultancy group specialising in integrative self-managed organisations and nurturing integrative intelligence amongst employees, entrepreneurs and leaders in different industries. She is a non-executive director at Buurtzorg India. Sharda is also a professor at Nyenrode Business University in The Netherlands, and an adjunct professor and chair of the Buurtzorg OMRISE research group at Banasthali University, the world\u2019s largest women\u2019s residential university based in Rajasthan. <\/span><\/p>\n

Sharda\u2019s interests include integrative intelligence, entrepreneurship, spirituality, organisational innovation, leadership and transformational learning. She has founded the concept of integrating simplification and co-founded integrative intelligence. Sharda holds two bachelor\u2019s degrees and two master’s degrees (one in Work and Organisational Psychology and the other in General Economics, having received both from the University of Amsterdam). She completed her PhD in Social Sciences at the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam. She is a member of the board of the European SPES Institute.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jez Humble is an author, speaker, CTO at DevOps Research and Assessment LLC, and a lecturer at UC Berkeley.<\/span><\/p>

He is the co-author of <\/span>Continuous Delivery<\/span><\/i>, the Jolt Award-winning book in Martin Fowler's signature series, as well as the books <\/span>Lean Enterprise<\/span><\/i> and <\/span>The DevOps Handbook<\/span><\/i>. Jez has spent his career tinkering with code, infrastructure, and product development and consulting in companies of varying sizes across three continents, most recently working for the US Federal Government at 18F.
