He is passionate about harnessing the creative potential of diverse stakeholders when collaborating on inspirational challenges that benefit society at a systemic level. He leverages his deep understanding of agile, (complex) systems, computational, and design thinking when doing so, and is inspired by Indigenous ways of knowing, doing, and being. For over fifteen years, he has been enabling global industry, government, community and research leaders to understand, design and develop their strategy, innovation, leadership and culture, building on a decade before this in more technical roles in the software industry. He has learnt that leadership provides the foundation upon which to cultivate an organisation\u2019s strategy and culture. As such, connected leadership provides the foundation for how he works. Crighton has also founded, advised and invested in a number of deep-tech startups that are aiming to change the world for the better. He has a PhD in Cross-Cultural Design &#038; Innovation, a Masters degree in Development Studies, a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons I &#8211; Computer Systems), and a Bachelor of Science (Physics).
