Adam Boas has a long history in software delivery as a developer, technical leader, architect and manager. His career in application, web and mobile development has taken him from coding and design to architecture and team building as well as coaching and management. He has worked in consultancies and product companies in various industries. Over the past 15 years, Adam has developed a keen interest in both distributed systems and distributed teams. The past 10 years have seen a move away from the principals that defined Agile development and led to empowered teams rapidly iterating to deliver customer value. Many of the Agile frameworks now favour a prescriptive, process driven approach. Some alternatives have been posed in the product space from authors such as Eric Ries but they only address part of the problem. In this talk, Adam Boas will explore an approach that combines both lean product management and Agile delivery methodologies to give a principal driven alternative.
