She has been a keen member of the LAST community for several years and loves listening to how other people have solved interesting problems with their teams.

Charlotte started out working as a Business Analyst at NAB before moving across to REA Group, where she specialised in Salesforce integration and other CRM projects. Today, Charlotte works as a Delivery Lead at REA Group focusing on customer data platforms. She is passionate about nurturing team culture and psychological safety. She is a big believer that there is no substitute for good collaboration and that good delivery outcomes always start from the ground up. Outside of work, Charlotte loves running, watching AFL and baking cakes (which can also come in handy when it comes to encouraging team bonding).

[/et_pb_text][dipi_dual_heading first_heading=”Session” second_heading=”How not to make a group decision” heading_display=”column” fh_style=”background” first_heading_color=”#F7955B” fh_padding=”3px|5px|0px|5px|false|false” fh_margin=”0px|0px|0px|0px|false|false” _builder_version=”4.25.1″ _module_preset=”default” first_heading_font=”|||on|||||” first_heading_text_color=”#FFFFFF” first_heading_font_size=”12px” second_heading_line_height=”1.4em” text_orientation=”left” custom_margin=”||0px||false|false” custom_padding=”||0px|0px|false|false” locked=”off” global_colors_info=”{}”][/dipi_dual_heading][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.25.1″ _module_preset=”default” link_font=”|700|||||||” link_text_color=”#26AEBB” custom_padding=”||25px||false|false” border_width_bottom=”1px” border_color_bottom=”#9AD9E7″ global_colors_info=”{}”]We all have to make decisions every day. Should I wear the same black jeans and turtleneck that I wore yesterday? In many cases in an organisation, we need to bring other people along on the journey of the decision. How can we simplify this process so that we don’t have to attend yet another meeting alignment discussion?

In this talk, Charlotte McKinnon will describe what makes decision making more important than ever in Agile teams and the common antipatterns that we fall into when trying to gain consensus from a diverse group of people. If you struggle with making decisions, by the end of this talk you will realise that it’s a skill that just about anyone can learn with enough practice.[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]

[15
["post-1372","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-community
["GET
