The Agile Australia conference aims to involve and draw from the community as much as possible in the creation of the conference program.
We were thrilled to receive over 250 topic submissions to present this year from agilists. The community was able to give feedback to each submission author, vote on their favourite topics, and iterate their own submissions based on input from others. The submissions were all kept anonymous to help the content shine.
A dedicated team of close to 50 volunteers stream chairs and reviewers helped to review the submissions and create a shortlist of topics to be recommended for the final program. The conference advisors helped to confirm this year's program.
We also recruit and manage a team of 'shepherds' or knowledgeable volunteers who 'buddy' with a speaker to ensure presentations are the best they can be.
We are very thankful to the over 550 people who participate in this process and help make the Agile Australia conference as great as it is year on year.
