Driving more inclusive decision-making in remote teams

We all make decisions, especially teams as part of their collaboration: When do we meet? How do we want to work together? What size do we estimate the feature? This is often not straightforward and can be challenging, so how can we make collaboration and decision-making in (remote) teams fairer and more efficient?

Andreas Mühlhäuser’s talk is about finding an answer to this question while working as a Scrum Master and Agile Coach, and how consent decision-making from Sociocracy 3.0 influenced him and his day-to-day business. It not only changed the process of decision-making but also shifted his mindset to collaborate and communicate more efficiently. The highly remote world, during and after the recent pandemic, led to even more change in our ways of working. Although remote working is an accelerator for digital work, it can also leave some people behind and unheard, preventing teams from reaching their full potential.

Andreas will show some examples of how phrasing questions differently can impact our communication and how we can incorporate this in our daily (remote) collaboration to increase efficiency and ensure no team member is ever left behind again.
