About Kit Friend
Kit Friend is a dedicated Agile geek and Atlassian keen bean, who first found his way to the land of Scrum, Kanban, and all things nimble after joining Accenture in 2010. Originally an artist, designer, and failed politician, Kit was thrilled to find a more reliably promising career awaited enabling teams of great people to make awesome digital products. Over the years he has worked across industries from media to financial services, and been privileged to support amazing teams including Channel 4, YouView, and Sky X. For the past few years his focus has been on a mix of helping teams empower their agility with tools like Atlassian Jira + Jira Align, teaching ICAgile courses, and experimenting with exciting methods like Lego Serious Play. When he’s not getting enthused about sprint planning and workflow optimisation, Kit enjoys attempting to effectively balance family life, gravel cycling, running, craft beer, and martial arts. After moving from London to Brisbane in September 2022, Kit is thrilled to have survived his time thus far in Australia with relatively little sun burn or incidents with drop bears – both of which he’d been led to believe would be a challenge in his new home.
