AgileAus Business Agility
Executive Forum 2024

Tuesday 13 August 2024 • Pullman Melbourne on the Park

AgileAus is delighted to host the inaugural AgileAus Business Agility Executive Forum.

Being held on the second day of the AgileAus24 Conference, the Forum will convene a select group of senior business and transformation leaders to share and learn from each other.

Led by Evan Leybourn (Co-founder of the Business Agility Institute) and Sandra Davey (Strategic Adviser in Product and Organisational Ways of Working), the Forum presents the opportunity to deep dive into shared organisational challenges and what it takes to change an organisation to thrive in disruption. By tapping into the wisdom and experience of your peers, the Forum invites you to uncover potential opportunities and obstacles ahead of you.

Specifically designed to help leaders grappling with decisions to flourish in a VUCA world – the Forum will feature candid and thought-provoking facilitated conversations and unexpected learning moments impossible to find elsewhere.

Confirmed: Joining you are General Managers, Directors, and Business Heads from Aerospace, Financial Services, Telecommunication, Retail, Tertiary Education, and major Utility organisations.

High Level Agenda

Kindly note this is the current draft and session details and times are subject to change.

10:30am: Executive Forum opening (morning tea on arrival).

10:45am: Certain Uncertainty – Learn about the Domains and Capabilities of Business Agility and where your organisation currently maps against it.

11:15am: Making it Real – Connecting where you are today with where you need to be. And what challenges, impediments, and blockers are in your way.

11:45am: Constellations – An exploration of the primary business agility capabilities. Are you on the right track with your change or transformation activities?

12:55pm: Lunch

1:45pm: Open Discussion – An opportunity to share your experiences and insights while learning from your peers (Chatham House rules).

2:45pm: Reflection and Next Steps – What is the “smallest biggest change” you can make that makes a difference.

3:00pm: Executive Forum close.

Key Learning Outcomes

  • Describe the business capabilities enabled through business agility (and where your organisation) maps against them.
  • Identify and prioritise the key constraints and challenges hindering these capabilities. Recognise common themes faced by other organisations.
  • Understanding where your investment in organisational transformation has been effective – and where it needs adjustment. Answer the question “is my transformation going to achieve its goals?”
  • Learn “what’s possible” and “who else has done this”. You are not alone.
  • Connect with your peers and discover early warning signs on what to look out for in their transformation. Take away practical ideas on things that have worked well for others that you could try.

Please note: All participants will receive a list of who will be in the room prior to the day, along with information to help them to prepare for the Forum.
