Speaking at AgileAus24

Where can I submit a talk idea?

Find out more about becoming a speaker here »

Who reviews speaker suggestions?

A dedicated team of 40+ reviewers and stream chairs comprised of agilists from a wide range of organisation types and areas of expertise give feedback to those who have put in speaker suggestions online. Some have been involved for over a decade while some are brand new to the game! Anyone in the AgileAus community is welcome to put their hand up and volunteer to be a reviewer.

How is the final program built?

Under the guidance of the reviewing community, Slatterys works hard to build a program that represents the depth of the Australian Agile community. You can find out more about the process here. Special care is taken to ensure constituencies are neither over or under represented; any gaps in must-have topics are covered; and a mixture of tried and true wisdom and novel new ideas are reflected.

How many talks are usually lifted from the speaker suggestion process?

Out of the 250+ suggestions, less than 25 will be selected for the final program (about 1 in 10).

Who else speaks at AgileAus?

Anyone is invited to submit up to two EOIs to speak at AgileAus24 and possibly be selected to be a community speaker through a peer-review process. Other speakers at the Conference are keynotes, invited speakers and those delivering sponsored talks.

Invited speakers
AgileAus24 will include speakers invited to speak by TeamSlatts, the organisers, to address hot topics and any gaps in the program.

Sponsored sessions
It is possible for sponsors to purchase a limited amount of presentation spots that are labelled as such on the program.

Deep Dives
Invited and keynote speakers are encouraged to participate in interactive, intimate Deep Dive sessions where attendees can pick their brains by asking questions.

Program & Networking

What is the timing like for the day?

Registration will open from 8:00am with tea and coffee being available upon arrival. The presentations will run between 9:00am to approximately 5:30pm.

Who will I meet at AgileAus24?

AgileAus is a welcoming, community-driven event attracting delegates from areas such as telcos, finance, insurance, nimble startups, non-profits, digital businesses and government.

When will the program schedule be released?

The AgileAus24 program will be released in late June 2024.

Are the presentations being recorded?

At this stage AgileAus24 is an in-person event only and the sessions are not being recorded. Should this change, all in-person attendees would receive access to the recorded sessions after the Conference.
