About Aurelien Beraud

Aurelien Beraud is an Agile Coach with a strong technical and product background.

With an unquenchable curiosity, Aurelien does not shy away from asking way too many questions. He has been a software developer with an extreme focus on giving users what they truly need, and then became an Agile Coach who focuses on helping teams and organisations find ways of working that best fit them.

He believes in data and scientific research over opinions and tries to understand human beings and their weird behaviours by delving into cognitive science and getting a deeper understanding of the brain.

Pragmatic OKRs

Have you, your team, or your whole organisation recently decided to follow in Google’s footsteps and use their infamous Objective and Key Results? And, through a smooth transition, did this new tool help trigger a long-lasting beneficial change in your organisation?

If the first question tends to receive a disproportionate amount of yes (latest fad you say?), I feel the answer to the second one is overwhelmingly depressing.

So have we done it again? And thought a tool could solve all our problems?

In this talk Aurelien wants to go back to the three following outcomes, OKRs as a tool are trying to help us achieve: Alignment, Focus, and Data-centricity.

By digging into them he wants to find very practical questions the tool is asking us, and to show you how by focusing on these questions more than the tool itself we can start to spark a change.
